Dewy looking skin is all about a natural glow that reflects the health of your complexion, as if there is a secret inner torch that lits your face.
Whilst make up can certainly help attract extra light to certain areas of the face to go for seriously dewy first
take a few simple steps back.
Step 1. Moisturise
It is not a secret but nevertheless an important step we feel tempted to overlook, ranging from olive tones to deepest black it is all about hydration, hydration, hydration (yes also if you have oily skin, it still needs moisture and lots of it) so keep your skin well moisturised.
Step 2. Exfoliate
Use a gentle scrub or exfoliating mask to slough off dead skin cells. The key word her is gentle, as harsh products can send the skin in overdrive mood and result in outbreaks. Try to exfoliate at least twice a week to keep your complexion looking plump and fresh.
Step 3. Use a hydrating mask
Give your skin an extra treat on a regular basis by applying a hydrating mask at least once a week. Go for a brightening one which will instantly inject radiance to the skin.
Step 4. Try natural facial oils
Oils have been perceived as the enemy nr. 1 of skin, especially oily skin for a long time. They have been associated with clogged pores, breakouts and slippery T-zones. Fortunately the tables are turning on good facial oils and we are starting to understand how extremely beneficial the good, natural ones can be to the skin. Mix a few tiny drops with your favourite foundation for a beautiful dewy, even complexion.
Step 5. Strategically apply highlighter
If you love your make up this is probably your favourite part. Take a good look at your face to really familiarise yourself with the bone structure. Once you have identified your cheekbones, brow bones, nose and chin dab an illuminator or highlighter on those areas. It is all about looking natural, make sure you gently blend any excess product so it does not sit on the skin, et viola all dewy and gorgeous.
