RazorSharpCheeks

Fashion and beauty are partners in a long and (most of the times) successful marriage and Fashion Week offers the perfect opportunity to see where the top make up artists are directing us beauty wise.
Healthy, glowing skin was one of the leading trends for SS14. A good thing, as it is the starting point for any beauty look whether low key and natural or over the top glamorous. Never settle for blotched, blemished, ashy skin and frankly there is no need to with good, honest skincareFrom New York to Paris, the mood for SS14 was natural and pretty, with a fresh take on the directional lip.
One of our favourite looks was at Donna Karan SS14 (pictured), glossy skin combined with razor sharp cheekbones.

DIY? Hydrated and radiant skin is essential for this look so prepare the skin with a nice rich moisturiser. Perfect with a matching foundation that adds warmth to the skin. To create the RazorSharp cheeks apply a pigmented blush in an earthy colour (try Fira by Kevyn Aucoin) and accentuate further by applying a subtle highlighter over cheekbones, temples and the centre of your nose with a contouring brush. Finish of with a few coats of mascara to make the eyes pop.

We absolutely loved the directional lip as seen at Rag & Bone (pictured) and Jason Wu.

DIY
? Start by prepping the lips with a nourishing lip primer. Then line the lips with a lipliner to set a nice base and prevent your lipstick from 'bleeding'. Make sure you pick a neutral lipliner that matches the colour of your lips. Dark brown lips? Try Cameo by Face Atelier. If your lip colour is between pink and brown we recommend The Flesh Toned Lip Pencil. Finish off by picking one of the statement colours of this season, violet and orange hues are the absolute winners.
